Accessibility

At hummel, we want everyone to be able to use our webshop – whether you use a mouse, keyboard, screen reader, magnification or other assistive technology. Here you can read what the webshop is, how to use it, and to what extent it meets the accessibility requirements.

1. General description of the service

hummel.net is hummel's webshop. Here you can browse and buy sportswear, shoes and accessories, create an account, become a member of club hummel and find information about delivery, returns and terms and conditions. The webshop is aimed at consumers and can be used on computer, tablet and mobile.

2. How to use the webshop

  • Find products: Use the menu to go to a category, or search for a product in the search field at the top of the page.
  • See product details: On the product page, you'll find images, description, price, sizes, colours and stock status.
  • Add to basket: Choose a size and colour, and press the button to add the item to your basket. You can always view and change the contents of your basket.
  • Pay and get your delivery: At checkout, you enter your details and choose delivery and payment. Before you pay, you'll see a full summary of your order.
  • Account and club hummel: Create an account to see your orders and your benefits as a member of club hummel.
  • Help: You'll find information about delivery, returns and complaints at the bottom of every page, and you can always contact customer service.

The webshop can be used with a keyboard, and most parts can be read aloud by a screen reader (for example VoiceOver or NVDA). You can enlarge the page with your browser's zoom up to 200 % without content disappearing.

3. How the webshop meets the accessibility requirements

The webshop has been developed based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, which is the recognised standard for accessibility and the basis of current legislation.

This means, among other things, that:

  • text and buttons have sufficient contrast and can be enlarged,
  • forms in your account and at checkout have clear field names and error messages,
  • the content is set up as plain text, so it can be read aloud or displayed in other ways with your own assistive technology – this also applies to this statement.

The webshop is partially compliant with the requirements. Most of the webshop meets the standard, but some functions do not yet fully do so. They are described below.

4. Known limitations

  • Search: Search results and suggestions cannot yet be read aloud by a screen reader when you navigate them with the keyboard.
  • Video and animation: Videos and animations that play automatically cannot yet be paused.
  • Headings on information pages: Some information pages lack a correct heading structure, which can make it harder to navigate with a screen reader.
  • Third-party solutions: Some functions, such as payment solutions and the returns portal, are provided by external suppliers, and we do not have full control over their accessibility. We have made the suppliers aware of the requirements.

We are working to fix these limitations and will update the list when they are resolved.

5. Continuous improvement

Accessibility is a fixed part of our work on the webshop. We test regularly with keyboard and screen reader, and new functions are reviewed for accessibility before they are launched. Issues are prioritised according to how much they affect users.

6. Feedback and contact

If you have problems using the webshop, or need information in another format, you are welcome to write to us at ecom@hummel.dk. Please describe which page and function it concerns, and which assistive technology you use. Do not send sensitive information such as national ID numbers or health information.
