Inspired by Japanese cherry trees, this print merges the prettiness of oriental blooms with a clean, minimalist Scandi-feeling.
‘This season, I was inspired by warm, dusty alleys of cherry trees in blossom. I imagined myself strolling through a sun-dappled Japanese garden with pink cherries all over. I love how those pretty, elegant flowers grow on such rugged branches. Often, Japan is associated with bright reds and yellows, but I wanted to give Japan a Scandinavian tweak. I went with two purplish-blue tones and found inspiration in the hand-painted flower designs of Danish Royal Copenhagen porcelain’, says hummel lead-designer Trine Hjorth.
The oriental print is splashed across a series of styles for girls aged 0-12 years.
The purplish-blue tones go great with soft and delicate pink or sunkissed yellow. Go all in on soft, comfy styles or mix the flowery prints with a pair of worn jeans for an urban feminine look.
Add a pair of white sneakers to the equation, and your girl will shine!
